TalkCrunch - Digging Into the Strategy of Web 2.0
This morning, while walking to campus, I listened to the first episode of TalkCrunch. It is a podcast by Michael Arrington and the gang the write the blog TechCrunch. TechCrunch has seemed to become the premeire Web 2.0 blog so it was kind of natural for them to look to the podcasting as a new way to have their discussion about Web 2.0.
Their first show was good.
I love how the show dugg into web 2.0 strategy. In this show, they talked about online calendaring and Google Calendar. They had one of the guys from 30Boxes (which I use) and Zvents.com which I had never heard of.
I dream someday that I will be able to put together a great web-based solution to a problem, like these guys. I try to glean as much as possible from their experiences.
I think they have some basic issues that comes with this being their first show, like audio quality, echo, and structure. There were 5 guys (i think) on the show.
Sometimes I had a hard time keeping up with who was talking. I wasn’t familiar with all of their voices, except Michael’s. I think because Leo Laporte has sooo much experience in radio, prior to his podcasting work, it has caused the quality of his podcast work to be that much higher.
I am sure after a few episodes that TalkCrunch will air out a lot of the small issues.
Episode 2 is out. This podcast is definitely making it to my iPod.
