FireAnt is Cool But Apple iTunes Has It All
I have been reading a lot about the launch of the software FireAnt. Its a media player and delivery program. Leo Laporte recommended it for listening to and watching TWIT. There was also a story about FireAnt on TechCrunch.
So I tried it out.
I think it is pretty cool. I am anxious for when they add bittorrent functionality to the Mac version of FireAnt. But for the time being, I can’t see it stopping me from using iTunes.
iTunes has it all. I can buy and listen to my music and videos I can get and listen to my podcasts and to vidcasts. If there was some type of bittorrent capability built into iTunes, there wouldn’t be a real use for any other media delivery software.
I don’t really want to be using a bunch of little pieces of software that each do things a different way and don’t work together. I want one or maybe a few pieces of software that all work together and are very easy to use. Apple has really got that with iTunes and unless there was some other program with more amazing features, I don’t see myself changing any time soon.
