Howie Day29 Sep 2005 12:39 am

Tonite I saw the singer/songwriter Howie Day, here at RIT, in concert. It was excellent. There wasn’t a big crown and it was just Howie Day singing. This gave it a very intimate feel.

It was definitely the highlight of my week.

If I can find some time tomorrow, I’ll try and write more about the concert. I have been really busy lately.

Bible Verse29 Sep 2005 12:20 am

I have been thinking about Psalm 119:35 (the Message translation) all day. It’s pretty cool.

“Guide me down the road of your commandments; I love traveling this freeway!

I will be doing some blog posts highlighting the verses of Psalm 119:35-55 (The Message).

Michigan State University and College Football29 Sep 2005 12:13 am

I was pumped to day, when my MSU co-worker Trevor, told me that the Michigan State University vs. University of Michigan football game that is this weekend in East Lansing, MI will be televised on ABC Regional and that the game will be available in New York.

SWEET! It will be an awesome game. I’m pumped. So my Saturday is pretty much all booked now. If you wanna be cool and come over and watch the game it starts at noon. Bring beer!

Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita and Barbra Streisand and Global Warming26 Sep 2005 03:03 pm

In a recent entry by Matt Drudge, in the Drudge Report, he reports that Barbra Streisand is saying we are in a period of, “global warming emergency.” That global warming is all of a sudden causing lots of terrible hurrricanes to come hurling towards the Gulf coast.

Matt Drudge then goes and makes a list of the numerous hurricanes, from over the years, that have reached or even exceeded the winds and destruction of our recent hurricanes. Having hurricanes that are category 5 is not something new that we are experiencing for the first time.

When are stupid liberal celebrities going to learn to keep their mouths shut? If your going to make a political statement at least attempt to sound intelligent or back up what your saying.

Uncategorized and Beer25 Sep 2005 09:11 pm

My roommates and I have been trying a lot of the different beers from the Magic Hat Brewing Company (Wikipedia) of South Burlington, Vermont, because my roommate Derek is from Burlington and he really recommended them.

Tonite while watching the season opener of West Wing, which was an exciting episode, I tried the Magic Hat Fat Angel Beer. It was quite interesting beer.

Magic Hat Fat Angel is a Pale Ale, which I don’t think that I have ever had before. In the glass it is more of a dark rich brown color. At first taste, it was very wheaty. It reminded you of a rich bread. After letting it sit and open up a little bit, I could taste a little bit of honey and apricot along with the wheat. I would say it is definitely worth a buy.

I have not really been dissappointed with the beers coming from the Magic Hat Brewing Company. All of their beers have an exciting amount of depth to them. Another good way to try Magic Hat beers is the variety pack, which you should be able to pick up at your local grocery store.

Check out the Magic Hat company web site. It’s kind of weird.

Television and Reality TV and Amazing Race24 Sep 2005 12:27 pm

One thing that I am looking forward to next week is Tuesday is the start of Amazing Race season 8. It is the family edition. I think they are only staying in the US which isn’t as exotic but it will be cool because I will know more of the places that they have been to.

As I am watching the new season, I will be waiting to hear back if my dad and I are going to get called back to possibly be in season 9 of the Amazing Race. It will be fun to watch.

My Life and Gas Prices24 Sep 2005 12:13 pm

Well it is officially the end of the third week of class during the fall quarter at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I have yet to fill up my car with gas.

I have been still walking to class everyday. My apartment complex is a mile/mile and half from my buildings. Everyday it has been pretty nite outside. I feel healthier because of the walking.

Blogging and Hurricane Rita24 Sep 2005 12:06 pm

This is kind of an interesting site, it’s citizen journalists covering Hurricane Rita, as it comes towards land fall. The Houston Chronicle set it up.

My good friend Lindsay has family that live in the Houston area. They are deciding to ride out the storm. Keep them in your prayers.

Politics and Supreme Court and Ann Coulter22 Sep 2005 10:50 pm

The one and only Ann Coulter mentions something in her latest column something that we should all keep in mind, What Would Reagan Do?

She talks about how Reagan would have currently handled the vacancies in the court. It’s a good article. When is Ann Coulter ever not good?
