I just saw on Darren Rowse’s web site a post about the blog Light The Torch. It is a group blog that apparently anyone can contribute to. Â It’s on the Winter Olympics. Â They want to get a bunch of different people from the different countries represented at the Olympics.

This is such a cool idea. Â I love how it helps to start a community where there wasn’t one before. Â It really makes me excited to see the web being used to connect people in ways that weren’t possible before.

I just realized the other day that the Olympics had started. Â I guess I had been so busy with school work the last couple of weeks, I didn’t even realize that I missed the Opening Ceremony.

Italy seems like it would be such a fun place to be in the winter. Â I wish I could be there out watching the games. Â But I can’t, Â I thought I’d check the blogosphere to see what there was out there.

Congrats to the Pittsburgh Steelers for winning the Super Bowl.

I am sad that MSU lost their first football game of the year to the Wolverines from the University of Michigan. It was a close game to 34-31 in overtime.

Couple fun things though, my friend Emily came over and hung out with while I watched the game, I made myself hot dogs, and I had some Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. It is slowly becoming my favorite beer. It is like drinking candy. It’s sooo good.

I was pumped to day, when my MSU co-worker Trevor, told me that the Michigan State University vs. University of Michigan football game that is this weekend in East Lansing, MI will be televised on ABC Regional and that the game will be available in New York.

SWEET! It will be an awesome game. I’m pumped. So my Saturday is pretty much all booked now. If you wanna be cool and come over and watch the game it starts at noon. Bring beer!

For those of you that don’t know, I’m a college football fan. I have a special place in my heart for the Michigan State University football program after having grown up watching games and now working for the Michgan State.

Today the Michigan State Univeristy Spartan football team played the Notre Dame Fighting Illini football team and won 44-41 in overtime. It was a pretty sweet game.
